The garden is a place for me exercise what I’ve learned as a farmhand and a place to grow things that excite me as cook. It’s a place grow partnerships with local chefs. A place to grow things that are beautiful and tedious — things best executed on a small scale.
The garden is located at Red’s Quality Acre. Farmer Dave and I have cooked up an incubator farm model for this project. This model allows me to truly learn what it takes to manage a piece of land for production, under the incredibly helpful eye of a mentor, and without the, often inaccessible, financial hurdle of land acquisition.
